Gratitude

I can't believe that, in just under 3 months, we have gone from this--two nervous, bashful young adults on their first date

--to this: 

A picture says a thousand words. This one says at least 1,001. 

I love him and am blessed to call him mine. Our relationship is proof that Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves, and that His plans are grander than any that we could have conjured up for ourselves. Thank You, Lord.

A month ago today, things changed. We had both waited a long time, and we had both been hurt. But a month ago today we found out that:

And how unexpected that night was. On March 23, 2013, our individual plans 

f e l l  a p a r t

and the intricate, loving details of God's plan brought us together.

We both walked into the dance hall separate; alone. But then it was time to find a partner, and we found each other. 

You held out your hand,

We danced; we spoke; you laughed (a kind laugh). And now I realize,

Tonight

Tonight, I am alone.

But maybe one day soon I won't be. I have everything in my life that I could possibly want, and I am so blessed. I lack nothing, except for someone to love. Really love, in that special way.

I've waited a long time for the right person to come along, and there have been a few gentlemen along the way that I thought might have worked out, but as of yet, no dice. And that's okay, cause I'll wait as long as I have to for the right one. My tune will no longer be one of loneliness, but of excitement and hope.

So, if you're out there, whoever you are, I have a lot to offer. And I can't wait to meet you.
